tired of the algorithm
telling you who your friends are?
hey, i'm paul. i think the internet is broken.
so i'm building weird little corners where humans can actually talk to each other.
no engagement metrics. no growth hacks. just people being people.
* not actually a rebellion. more like a book club. but cooler.

okay, here's the deal
remember when the internet was fun? when you could make a geocities page about your cat and three random strangers would find it and think it was cool?
now we're all just yelling into the void, hoping the algorithm gods will bless us with a viral moment. we traded real friends for follower counts. we swapped deep talks for hot takes.
plot twist: we don't have to live like this. we can build our own little corners of the internet. places where we actually know each other's names. where a good conversation matters more than going viral.
i'm not saying we'll change the world. but maybe we can make a tiny part of it less terrible. and that's pretty cool.
the (unofficial) rules
we made these up. you don't have to follow them. but they're pretty good.
๐ฏ real friends > fake followers
i'd rather have 10 people who actually care than 10k who don't know my name
๐ own your stuff
build on land you own. because when facebook dies (it will), your stuff shouldn't
๐ง think, don't scroll
hot takes are boring. let's have actual thoughts that take more than 5 seconds
๐ share the good stuff
found something cool? share it. learned something new? teach it. no gatekeeping
๐ฌ be awkward
perfection is boring. show your weird side. mess up. laugh about it
๐ค small > big
cozy beats crowded. you can't have deep talks in a stadium
here's what we're actually doing
(spoiler: making the internet fun again)
get your own place
build a website. start a blog. make something weird. own it forever. no one can delete it or shadowban you.
find your weirdos
join our skool group (when it's ready). it's like social media but everyone actually likes each other.
skip the middleman
email lists. newsletters. direct messages. talk straight to people without begging an algorithm.
the clubโข
(not actually trademarked. we're not that organized.)
we're building a skool community. it's gonna be like fight club but for people who want to make websites and have real conversations. here's the vibe:
โข no "hustle culture" allowed
โข share your weird projects
โข ask dumb questions (they're the best kind)
โข actually get to know people
โข maybe make some real friends?
coming soon. or eventually. we're not rushing this.
